Data Scientist

BYT is a spinoff of Boost IT that aims to use all the knowledge and experience created over 4 years, with a management team that has more than 15 years of experience.

Created in December 2021, after 4 years of delivering the specialized recruitment service with great success under Boost IT name. During these 4 years we carried out more than 400 specialized recruitment processes for 20 different clients, both in Portugal and Internationally. The success of the direct recruitment business area within Boost IT was so successful that we decided, in 2021, to create BYT.

About the opportunity:

We’re currently looking for a Data Science to join an opportunity with a direct contractual link with a leading global industrial gases and engineering company.

Tasks

• Work directly with a variety of different data sources, types and structures to derive actionable insights;
• Develop, customize and manage AI software products based on Machine and Deep Learning backends;
• Strong support on replication of existing products and pipelines to other systems and geographies;
• Support in architectural design and defining data requirements for new developments;
• Interact with business functions in identifying opportunities with potential business impact and support development and deployment of models into production;
• Work closely with Data Scientists and Software Engineers in the corporate AI team;
• Collaborate across different corporate functions in international teams;
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related field;
• +2years of experience as DataScientist;
• Experience with Multivariate Statistics, Machine Learning and Probability concepts;
• Experience with preprocessing, feature engineering, feature selection and data cleansing on real world datasets;
• Strong background of Python and handling large data sets using SQL in a business environment (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, sklearn, keras, tensorflow, pytorch, statsmodels etc.);
• Sound knowledge of data architectures and concepts;
• Practical experience in the visualization of large datasets - Tableau or PowerBI;
• Ability to structure a project from idea to experimentation to prototype to implementation.
  
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with DevOps and MS Azure;
• Experience in Azure ML, Kedro or Airflow;
• Experience in MLflow or similar;
