The Roger Bacon Academy Learn More! is an education management organization that manages multiple charter schools. We have an immediate opening for a Data Analyst I as a member of our corporate team. The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools.

Data Analyst I – Job Responsibilities


The Data Analyst I will support the organization, maintenance, and analysis of all data generated by The Roger Bacon Academy and the schools under its management, create tools and reports to assist in making corporate and school level decisions, and support process improvement initiatives within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst I will perform various data and compliance related projects requiring strong analytical skills, organization, attention to detail, thoroughness, independence, confidentiality, and the ability to disseminate information in a clear and concise manner meeting agreed upon timelines. As a part of the Department of Quality Control, the Data Analyst I will primarily support the analysis needs and digital organization related to academic outcomes of students while also providing analysis assistance, as needed, to Human Resources and the Beginning Teacher program. The position will be responsible for analyzing student academic data across time and preparing standard reports for administrators on a recurring basis for use in making instructional decisions. One of the primary goals of the analyst will be to ensure that stakeholders have access to useful data that is well organized, shows predictable trends using statistical analysis, and is easy to understand and disseminate to stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Analyst I will work in conjunction with the Data Analyst II to oversee the infrastructure and functionality of internal and external student databases and information systems to ensure all data is populated accurately. The Data Analyst I will assist with data entry and data cleansing as needed during peak seasons (i.e. testing, quarterly data meetings).

Other Duties:

The position of Data Analyst I requires strong critical thinking skills, statistical programming knowledge, and the ability to present data clearly and timely. Additionally, this position will require initiative to find ways to improve the efficiency of all systems within the company based on current data as well as discover areas in need that data is not yet being collected.

The Data Analyst I reports to the Department Head of Quality Control for The Roger Bacon Academy.

The position of Data Analyst I will be required to travel as needed to the campuses of the schools managed by The Roger Bacon Academy. Additionally, the position is a 12-month RBA position and follows the RBA calendar.


The Data Analyst I must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a math, science, or computer science field and at least two years of similar and relevant work experience. A strong math and statistics background with advanced Excel experience, strong statistical programming skills, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Access, SQL, and VBA is required. Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students as needed.

Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs. and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
