The Role:

Data Engineer

Full Time/ Permanent

Bristol/ Hybrid Working


We are looking for a Data Architect to build, optimize and maintain conceptual and logical database and analytical models.

For this role, you should know how to analyse system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data. Hands-on experience with SQL and Azure is also required.

Ultimately, you will develop database solutions to ensure company information is stored effectively and securely.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the target data architecture and roadmap to enable Bupa Dental Care to achieve its strategic goals
  • Develop and create conceptual, contextual, logical, and physical data models to support the use of data across the firm
  • Provide guidance on the development of data standards, guidelines, processes, data structures and architectures for data modelling and design
  • Evaluate and advise on emerging data collection, analysis, and integration technologies.
  • Aid in the development of Business Service/Information diagrams detailing key data entities required by the core business services
  • Aid efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, and data integration

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive Azure cloud services knowledge
  • Expertise in SQL and no SQL databases and creation of data pipelines
  • Design, construction, and management of a Data Warehouse
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
  • Experience gathering and analysing system requirements.
  • Big Data, ETL pipelines and procedures
  • Database loading and management
  • SQL programming
  • Commercial DevOps exposure
