Job description

We are seeking new members of our Impact Analytics team to lead analytics for setting product strategy, supporting product development, and evaluating population health interventions with a focus on referral management and specialty care.

The Data Analyst will be a key member of a cross functional team working to improve the quality, cost, and outcomes of specialty services for Aledade ACOs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health care referral analytics, an understanding of population health strategies, and a passion for having a direct impact on primary care practices and contributing to a data-driven organization.

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

    • Designing and executing descriptive and predictive analyses to identify opportunities for improving referral management and specialty care delivery. Leveraging rich data sources including national Medicare claims, other payer claims, electronic health records, event notification, and patient-reported data.
    • Distilling actionable insights from complex healthcare claims data, particularly in the area of office visit patterns, referral practices, and specialty care.
    • Performing detailed drill-down analyses to identify drivers of medical cost trends.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on internal and external referral management and specialty care analytics data products.
    • Evaluate impact of referral management interventions on outcomes including patient and provider experience, quality, utilization, and cost.

Preferred qualifications:

    • Deep experience with health care data sources, especially claims (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial).
    • Excellent quantitative analysis abilities, grounded in epidemiology, biostatistics, econometrics, health informatics, health care analytics or related field.
    • Expertise in methods for measuring health care utilization, spending, quality, and outcomes; risk adjustment; provider profiling; and related analytical tasks. Experience using or building data products and methods such as episode groupers or clinical risk groupers.
    • Experience designing and conducting rigorous, pragmatic evaluations of the impact of interventions on provider and patient experience, utilization, and total cost of care.
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct nuanced analyses to produce accurate and unbiased results and tell the story of those results in data visualizations and reports.
    • Experience in descriptive and predictive analysis methods, including regression and classification techniques.
    • Advanced data manipulation skills, including a strong foundation in SQL programming.
    • Intense attention to detail and data quality assurance.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
