Hyatt seeks a motivated and prolific engineer who is passionate about data to help us build out the next generation of data engineering applications and products. The Director, Data Engineering is responsible for enabling and empowering our partners by democratizing access to guest interaction, operational and market data and fostering algorithmic decision making across the company.
In this role you’ll build business-critical, scalable and robust data and machine-learning solutions, and intuitive and trustworthy data products that power data discovery, self-serve analytics, operational innovation and drive product innovation. This position is not just a management position, you will be expected to code, manage people, and architect for the future of data at Hyatt as well as the department structure. You will have the opportunity to build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders.
You will be part of a global data community and you will work in cross-functional and agile project teams alongside Data Product Managers, Data Stewards, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, other Data Engineers, and executives to improve the experience of guests and colleagues worldwide.
