The Team Data Platforms, in collaboration with other development teams and all other stakeholders is responsible for supporting and developing the platform in such a way that products, initiatives and added value are created and maintained.

Data Engineer within our Data Platforms Team

• you support our teams and platform users with your Big Data knowledge by implementing disruptive business models in a data-driven work environment
• you help the largest German news brands to become more data-driven and to use the gained knowledge to ensure sustainable business success
• you use your expertise to develop data architectures and support our teams/users in successfully analyzing and preparing various data sets
• you let your creativity run wild and design efficient cloud data pipelines to turn structured, semi-structured and unstructured data into information and knowledge
• you inform all other departments about your joint developments and visualizations and thus assist in developing the data-driven work of your colleagues further

Senior Software Engineer, with a knack for Big Data

• you love to develop software every day and it is normal for you to check, review, test and deploy your code every day
• you are fascinated by large amounts of data and have proven experience with AWS services
• Python and SQL don't create invalid syntax in your head and when using Spark, nobody will outsmart you
• you are an analytic, creative, curious and motivated team player and not only want to develop yourself continuously, but also want to share your knowledge with others. You are interested in growing together with different work areas and people
• you are fluent in English and maybe speak a bit German as well (no actual requirement, but a willingness to learn is a plus)
• you would like to contribute your experience and can expect us as a company to take your personal development and situation fully into account
