Wells Fargo Enterprise Function Technology team is seeking an Application System Engineer to be a part of the Data Quality and Metadata( DQMD ) technology team. This position will work with the internal developers on Metadata team to architect and develop short and long term solutions that will satisfy the Metadata Business Partners’ requirements or needs, and will demonstrate strong partnership abilities with our business operations, implementation, and crossed functional roles teams to strategize and proceed to the new technology road-map and future state.

Responsibilities Include:

• Acts as a strong designer in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
• Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
• Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
• Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
• Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
• Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
• Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

• 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
• 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: Collibra Data Governance Center, Informatica Metadata Manager, Ab Initio Enterprise Metadata Environment, or Alation
• 5+ years of experience in data management related areas such as metadata or lineage, data governance or data quality
• 5+ years of source/version control tools experience
• 5+ years of application development experience
• 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
• 5+ years of SQL experience

• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 3+ years of Agile experience
• Experience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative , change-driven organization
• Knowledge and understanding of uDeploy
• Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): code control, build and deployment

• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
