Job Profile Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer/Data Engineer is responsible for design, development, documentation and testing of commercial software programs for WellSky.
Key Activities:
- Performs all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical design, coding, and unit testing so that high quality commercial software releases are delivered to customers in a predictable and consistent schedule according to WellSky development processes
- Collaborates with solutions team(s) to define requirements, conduct analysis, and solve problems on a single product/service
- Prepares technical documentation, conducts, and participates in code reviews to ensure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices and the highest quality
- Offers technical direction and guidance to other product development team members and assist in managing development environments as well as installing and configuring commercial products

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of experience and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with clinical software systems
Additional Job Requirements:
- Displays ability to effectively plan, organize and implement applicable tasks or projects in relation to established goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of and ability to create, implement, evaluate, and enhance internal control processes.
- Manage compliancy with WellSky HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices and all required regulatory processes.
- Technical aptitude to work with standard HIPAA EDI files format.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (laptop)
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
