Job Description

This position is responsible for the technical design, development, testing, implementation and support of ETL and analytic infrastructure. At cxLoyalty you will have practical, hands-on experience utilizing data warehouse, ETL/ELT and analytic tools where we provide loyalty management solutions for our clients across multiple industries. You should be driven to provide quality solutions to challenging problems, working closely with client stakeholders, a highly skilled team of engineers, architects and thought leaders to design, build and implement solutions.

The typical pay scale for this role is between $95,000 and $115,000, although pay could be lower or higher based on factors such as experience, skills, etc. This compensation range is specific to Connecticut - and may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations. In addition, the role may be eligible for incentives earned as part of the Annual Incentive plan which is discretionary and based on the performance of the firm, the business unit and the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Work with stakeholders as part of a multi-functional team and assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
  • Create documentation and best practice assets based on content created by department
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, assisting in the requirements analysis, design, and proficient in SQL development/coding
  • Have a working familiarity with a variety of databases including Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB or similar open-source database is required
  • 5 years of experience with SAS data step and procedural programming, SAS macro language, SAS Management Console and metadata structures within a SAS version 9 environment
  • 3 years of experience supporting SAS Data Integration Studio with IBM Platform Process Manager/LSF scheduler, including ability to design, document, develop and test data integration processes from analyst specifications is required
  • 2 years of experience with SAS Viya and the SAS Viya Environment Manager.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • A self-motivated starter and team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research support issues, business requests, and potential solutions
  • Experience with performance and tuning analysis, systems support and optimization
  • Ability to train and mentor others to transfer knowledge of skills to designated teams
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, efficient organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Is detail-oriented and quality-focused
  • Knowledge of database development, design and support
  • Python, Kafka and other open source experience a plus
