As a Data Scientist with SERCO, you will collect, synthesize, and analyze human resources (HR) data to support our U.S Navy customer located at the Washington Navy Yard located in Washington DC.

Serco provides a fast-paced, collaborative work environment where individuals have an opportunity to support multiple cutting-edge projects for Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) Corporate Operations & Total Force Directorate (SEA 10).

In this role, you will provide business data analytics subject matter expertise as part of our team to analyze HR data. You will work closely with the Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) Corporate Operations & Total Force Directorate (SEA 10), Project Managers, and other analysts to identify challenges and develop solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate the collection of HR and customer requirements to support development of HR tools and analytics
  • Support the development of data analytic approaches, including return on investment measures, strategies, and performance indicators, dashboards, reports, and tools.
  • Bridge gaps between the HR and data analytic communities
  • Support the completion and distribution of HR data analytics in support of HR functions, programs, and Command goals
  • Facilitate the ongoing execution of workforce planning and recruiting data analytics systems
  • Collect, synthesize and analyze a wide array of data inputs
  • Provide data analytics support to inform strategic HR decisions and priorities
  • Develop and provide data analyses and reports in the form of charts, briefing materials, and analysis narrative
  • Provide recommendations or information for decision-making
  • Participate in ad hoc data analytics, recurring or other related project-based work, as assigned

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An active DoD Secret Security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree (or years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree)
  • 3 years collecting, synthesizing and analyzing a wide array of data inputs
  • 2 years of experience working with DoD organizations
