What you'll do:

• Work with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated Data engineers. Set and define standards that improve workflows, recommend best practices, and help coach and mentor data engineers on the team
• Work cross-functionally and cross-team to execute on technical and business strategy and build experiences that our users will love
• Champion industry best practice, solutions, and technologies, and have superior skills in delivering automated data solutions, combining, transforming, and enriching data from multiple sources to provide value for Business consumers
• Drive the technical vision for complex programs of work and are accountable for ensuring alignment to standards, governance and strategy across a portfolio of applications and projects
• Deliver data solutions ensuring alignment to Solution Architecture, data models, data mapping, requirements, strategy, roadmaps, and Business outcomes
• Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities

What you'll need:

• Minimum 5 years of experience within a Data & Analytics team
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology/ Statistics/ Data Science or a related discipline
• Extensive expertise in designing and implementing data patterns, including data modelling
• Ability to automate data ingestion of external data via APIs
• Skilled in extracting insights and making recommendations based on data analysis
• Proficient in developing BI reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI
• Proven experience in data profiling and wrangling to unify data sources and gain new insights for team
• Excellent SQL proficiency
• Experience implementing modern data stacks, such as Kafka, Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Pride yourself in building high quality solutions whilst also being pragmatic and highly accountable to your work
• Have experience working in an Agile software development team
