Who Are We Looking For?

A Data Analyst who can serve Operations, via KPI insight, data stewardship, data table creation, data querying, dashboarding, and analyses, while identifying opportunities to optimize the business, in coordination with function, segment and service leaders.

What You’ll Do

  • Use best-practice methodologies to inform KPI definitions and reporting
      • Coordinate with stakeholders on the best way to track performance.
      • Define KPI sets as needed, for clarity of business operations.
      • Produce data pulls for KPIs or metric values, as needed
      • Provide regular recurring reporting and analytics for stakeholders.
      • Maintain all backend table calls that deliver KPI values or feed reports.
      • Collaborate with the Analytics Engineering team to make use of the necessary data and make requests for additions/changes where needed.
  • Create and maintain sophisticated Tableau dashboards
      • Work with stakeholders to clarify needs and desired utility, for any dashboard built.
      • Use best practices in visualization to make insights clear and actionable.
      • Create the framework and logic for dashboards to auto-update and provide a clear, refreshed view into the business.
      • Continue to maintain and own any dashboards built, until deemed retirable by the stakeholder.
  • Produce and support data analyses to inform business decisioning and unlock growth in a safe and sustainable way
      • Partner with Analytics Engineering to make sure data is curated and leveled appropriately to be used in requested analyses.
      • Utilize best-practice strategies and cleaning/analyzing/sharing data/metric performance.
      • Assist in defining hypotheses for the business and/or data scientists to test, based on observations and partner insights.
      • As needed, perform ad-hoc analyses for individual inquiries.
  • Months ahead, transition into single point ownership into a service or segment
    • Act as the mediator for a service/segment in all things related to data.
    • Become a master of the business/data for a specific service/segment’s data.
    • Deeply understand typical business and market performance across metrics to identify anomalies and escalate any issues to appropriate partners.
    • Seamlessly translate business strategy/priorities into analytics solutions.
    • For a specific service/segment:
      • Use best-practice methodologies to inform KPI definition and reporting
      • Create and maintain sophisticated Tableau dashboards
      • Produce and support data analyses to inform business decisioning and unlock growth in a safe and sustainable way

Must-Haves

  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong Tableau, SQL, and Excel skills required.
  • Familiarity with R or Python preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce suggested.
  • Ability to support, work and communicate with a fast, cross-functional team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Listening and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
