What you will do

As our Applied Machine Learning Engineer, you will be part of Agile Product Development teams and report to the Director Business Performance & Digital Advancement. In this role you will support the Operations organization with innovative solutions to improve process efficiency and quality. You are responsible for developing, testing, and implementing Deep Learning & Machine Learning solutions for real-life problems and applications. There is a strong collaboration through Agile Product Teams and Engineering Project Teams. Alongside all this, you will participate in prototype building and testing for new technologies and ideas, not limited to its own area of expertise, but as co-creator of full business solutions.

• Work in collaboration with the Agile Product Teams or Engineering Project Teams to find opportunities for machine learning applications to advance the efficiency and quality of operations processes.
• Advice on which machine learning technologies will be used in production environment.
• Build, train, monitor and propose the best operational architecture for machine learning production models, as well as optimize existing ones.
• Ensure machine learning code is maintainable and scalable.
• Staying abreast of industry trends, especially in the realms of artificial intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning as it is applied to inspection systems, and exploring novel tools and techniques to improve inspections.
• Develop Deep Learning model(s) for image processing and human feedback systems to trigger learning for AI system.
• Develop process solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity enabling new equipment and technology.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Machine Learning professional we seek is good collaborator with these qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field with coursework relevant to machine learning.
• Experience with integrating machine learning algorithms into cloud platforms, including resource provisioning, installation, scaling, and validation, as well as building, training, and monitoring the machine learning production models
• Preferably, work or internship experience in operations / manufacturing environment.
• Experience with data transformations, API wrappers and output formats used with machine learning algorithms.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English, both in oral and written communication.
• Familiar with Programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Microsoft Visual Basic, .Net, Visual C#, jscript, vbscript, others).
• Up to date with the latest Deep Learning and reinforcement learning algorithms (e.g., CNN, GAN, Autoencoder, Deep Q Learning (DQN), Double DQN, Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG), Etc..).
