Job description
Data is the blood pumping through our digital business. It helps us understand how our products work and how our users behave. In this 4-month internship (preferably from February 2022), you’ll become a valuable member of our Data Team and have the chance to learn from our experienced Data Scientists while also bringing in fresh ideas. You’ll join an agile project team and together with your colleagues you’ll help to build new data products analysing massive quantities of data of our hundreds of millions of users.
We also offer the possibility for Master students to work on their thesis with us.
You’ll contribute by:
- Exploring our data to create valuable insights into our consumers’ behaviour and preferences
- Bringing in new ideas about how to apply advanced analytics and machine learning to improve our decision-making processes and consumer experiences
- Supporting the implementation of new data products (such as our social recommendation system and user churn prediction) to create a better understanding of our business and unique experiences for our users
- Joining us in our endeavour to scale our Data Science organisation to the next level
What makes you the right match:
- Student or recent graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
- Proficiency in Python and its main libraries, including numpy, pandas and sklearn
- Knowledge of frameworks like (Py)Spark and Tensorflow; PyTorch is a plus
- Curiosity to learn how to turn complex business problems into concrete requirements
- Excellent English skills
- Valid work permit for Austria
Salary information
And here’s the fine print: Our salary range starts at EUR 1,540 gross per month. Your actual offer depends on your skills and experience.
