Data Engineer

Our client is a the beginning of an exciting Cloud/Data migration project and as a result we are on the look out for multiple Data Engineers to come and join the team on long term contracts. There is a solid pipeline of work with bleeding edge tech and a friendly, high performing team. This is an opportunity not to be missed. This role is predominantly WFM with occasional office meets to keep you sane :)

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in DataLake, DataWarehouse platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake is highly desirable.
• Experience in S3, Lambda, StepFunction, SNS, SQS, AWS CLI, Terraform etc
• Strong skills with Java, Python, R, Sparc, Apache Airflow or similar languages
• High level of expertise in AWS and ETL (Talend) tools
• Hands on experience in DMS (Database Migration Service), Data Management, CICD, Github.
• Experience with Databricks and Apache Sparc is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience setting up new environments for projects and experience with cloud-based visualisation tools such as Tableau or similar.
• Must be based in Melbourne Australia and have working rights in Australia OR longer term temp VISA with no working restrictions.
