Your future achievements

As a Senior Big Data Engineer you’ll be part of our tech-team, working on our backbone that is essential for any further development of the company. You will work in a multi-national team that is already waiting for you to join!

• You actively drive the further development of our core product: the Solytic monitoring portal
• With your experience, you will actively contribute to the operation and future development of our real-time data processing pipeline that processes billions of events per day
• You will work with a state-of-the-art tech stack that is capable of handling terabytes of data: Delta Lake, Spark, Databricks, Prefect, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Terraform, Kubernetes, Event Hubs, ...
• You continuously provide and implement improvements in all areas of data engineering (workflow, methodologies, technologies, etc.)
  
  

Your skills

• Extensive experience with data modelling, data storage, data processing, and data security in multi-terabyte settings
• Extensive experience with database management, data warehousing, and/or Data Lakes
• In-depth knowledge of Apache Spark is a must
• Fluent in Scala, Java, or Python (PySpark)
• Knowledge of cloud environments (Microsoft Azure is preferred)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
• Valid German work permit required
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases like Apache HBase, Google Bigtable, or related
• Knowledge of Databricks or Delta Lake (Delta.io)
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Prefect, DBT, or similar tools
