Junior Data Scientist

Hi there, we're Brainlabs, the world's most innovative digital marketing agency with a world class company culture to match. We're absolutely crushing it in the UK and the US and we are now looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team. You will be adept at exploring new data sources, creating descriptive and predictive models, designing experiments, and collaborating with all areas of the business. Our data scientists work closely with tech and engineering teams, so they need to write good, clean code, ready for production!

We'd like you to:

• Use your knowledge and experience of Python and SQL to clean, transform and model data to produce actionable outputs
• Use a range of Data Science techniques and approaches to solve problems, particularly with statistical and predictive models and machine learning
• Write production ready code making use of version control and software tests (experience with Git, Confluence, JIRA desirable)
• Collaborate with different functions and teams to understand client challenges and requirements, and deliver scalable products
• Experience or at minimum an understanding of working in cloud environments
• Develop and maintain modern software development lifecycles (CI/CD)
• Be curious and innovative; research and develop new approaches and solution to industry challenges

• A self starter - someone who thrives on the opportunity to learn and develop new skills
• Experience in a Junior Data Science capacity, or demonstrable experience of working on Data Science projects
• Strong Python & SQL skills for ETL and modelling
• Experienced in writing production ready code
• Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud computing
• Excellent communication skills and an affinity for knowledge sharing
• Ability to work closely with engineering on production deployments
• At minimum an interest in, but ideally knowledge and understanding of the digital advertising industry
