KPMG NewTech drives the implementation, strategic and training agenda for AI and emerging technologies for our clients (i.e. machine learning, robotic process automation, Internet of Things, virtual assistants, AR/VR, blockchain, digital strategy, NewPractice processing and training – amongst others). KPMG NewTech also runs the KPMG Quantum hub regarding quantum technology.
Although we are tech-oriented nerds, we engage in a lot of social activities together. Besides Friday get-togethers, team events and the occasional team dinner, we have a large variety of social clubs in NewTech such as Bulking Beastmode (workout group), Into the wild (outdoor life) and Book club. New clubs are always welcome, and you can be certain to find people in our team with a wide variety of different interests.
Your role
In this role as Machine Learning Engineer, you will be expected to carry out the full life cycle of our Machine Learning projects. This includes understanding our client's problem, envisioning the solution from a data, model, infrastructure and application perspective, and delivering on it. The job mainly consists of developing and implementing innovative Machine Learning solutions for our clients across all industry verticals.
The tasks related to this could be:
- Hands-on coding the solutions together with the team
- Architecture and solution design including what data and infrastructure to use
- Work on getting the ML solutions into production
- Establish quality metrics and monitoring for end-to-end ML solutions including data, model and infrastructure
- Co-develop end-to-end ML solutions working together with diverse profiles
- Advocate for best practices in code quality and how to productionise ML models

About you, our newest team member
You are a Machine Learning Engineer with an appetite for pushing the boundaries of technology. You may have a background studying natural sciences or another relevant technical field followed by experience working as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
We imagine that you have:
- 2+ years of experience working with Machine Learning or Data Engineering
- Experience deploying Machine Learning models into production
- Experience with data engineering or Machine Learning development in the Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Proven experience in relevant programming languages such as Python
- Have a data-centric mindset to solution building
- Fluent in English
Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have experience with:
- Docker/Kubernetes
- Developing API based applications
- Building data and ML pipelines
- Database design
- Infrastructure as code
- CI/CD pipelines
- Microservice architecture
- Working as a consultant
- Working in Danish
