GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Data Scientist, your role is to follow the data: analyze, visualize, and review. This Data Scientist will support the Post-Acute Care Quality Reporting Program.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Work with stakeholders to identify key business problems, diagnose, analyze, and synthesize advanced analytics solutions.
• Synthesize large datasets and solve complex problems using advanced statistical modelling.
• Create complex data extracts from various data sources.
• Conceptualize, design, develop, test, and harden for deployment advanced analytics as required by the client’s problem and environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or another quantitative field
• 1-3 years of experience in designing, developing, evaluating, and processing analytics
  Advanced programming/coding skills with SAS/SAS Viya, R and Python
• Practical experience with SQL Server, ETL, data processing, database programming
• Experience with peer review of programming/coding
• Experience transforming and manipulating data sets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• 1+ years working with Health Data

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Data Science or Health Sciences
• Data visualization experience using Tableau or other similar software.
• Familiarity with Medicare Data such as data available on data.cms.gov
• Familiarity with cloud computing
• Ability to work on a team in several/remote locations
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques, especially deep understanding of their benefits and drawbacks in real-world applications
• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, etc.) and numerical computing libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, etc.)
• Experience with ML techniques for NLP and time series analysis
