Data Analyst (Remote In WA)

Job description

  • Description:* Autonomous role analyzing the data around our Union’s 45,000+ members. This role will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases. Essential Functions
  • Data analysis experience
  • Experience and high level of SQL competency and proficiency
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with other analysts if necessary.
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Develop reports and analysis from single or multiple systems.
  • Helping manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned Skills & Abilities
  • Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
  • Experience performing quality checks in order to provide accurate reports.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well and creatively under tight deadlines, in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or college in computer science and/or equivalent experience working with database systems and complex data reporting with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Salesforce experience
  • SQL and/or Apex SQL Programming experience
  • Predictive Analytics experience, preferred
  • Experience working with a labor union, progressive non-profit, community organization, advocacy group, political campaign, or elected official, preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating positive work/employer relationships while fighting to raise standards for all workers in the industry is also a plus, preferred Core Competencies
