Are you our next Azure Data Engineer?

As an Azure Data Engineer on our Business Analytic team you will plan, design, and implement our enterprise solutions using the cutting-edge Data & Analytics platform, Azure Synapse from Microsoft. You will also have opportunities to participate in other exciting strategic initiatives as Mosaic is at the early stage of implementing business transformation with technologies. You will thrive in the role if you are passionate about data with an analytical mindset and an aptitude for accelerated personal development in technologies, business acumen and soft skills within the next a few years.

What will you do?

• Work as part of the team to leverage Azure Synapse services to deliver value and results

• Consult with business stakeholders to define requirements, use cases, and outcomes, etc.

• Assist in the delivery of processes to extract, transform and load data from disparate sources into a form that is consumable by analytics processes

• Design, develop and produce data models of relatively high complexity, leveraging a sound understanding of data modeling standards to ensure high quality.

• Responsibilities may include the architecture, design, build, troubleshooting, or optimizing of some or all of the following: Data Ingestion, Transformation, Data Lake, and Data Modelling

• Develop working relationships with peers across teams and collaborate to develop data engineering solutions.

• Driving adherence to the relevant data engineering and data modeling processes, procedures, and standards.

• Stay up to date with new data and analytics technologies and trends on the market.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:

• Associate degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or other related area

• 5+ years of hands-on project experience in the delivery of BI, data warehouse, advanced analytics, or any other types of analytics solutions

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with some of the core Azure Data Platform services, such as: Azure Data Factory , Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Databricks (Notebooks, Jobs, Clusters), Delta Lakes, Databricks Delta Live Tables, Azure Synapse (Pipelines, Pools, Scripts, etc), Apache Spark, Azure SQL DB, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure DevOps, and others. (Experience with all of the above-mentioned services is not a requirement.)

• Deep scripting language capabilities with T/SQL, Python, PySpark, or SparkSQL

• Knowledge/experience of Azure DevOps for build pipeline automation is a plus (CI/CD)

• Good business acumen and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience of agile methodologies and tools such as Kanban and Jira

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Bonus Points if You Have the Following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or other related area with 5+ years hands-on project experience in the delivery of BI, data warehouse, advanced analytics, or any other types of analytics solutions

• Certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Finance or Power BI

• Hands on experience in Power BI

• Knowledge of business processes in the Corporate Finance or FP&A

• Knowledge of SAP FICO module
