- Description:* The Data Analyst is required to perform the following job functions:
- Participates in all phases/activities of the project life-cycle to ensure that the project deliverables meet the user, functional and operational requirements.
Analyzes and models business processes and identifies opportunities/makes recommendations to improve them; documents key performance metrics, benchmarks, target objectives, etc.
- Interacts with business SMEs to gather and interpret requirements to ensure that the solution will solve the business problem.
- Elicits requirements through JAD sessions, personal interviews, on-line research, documentation review, use cases, as-is business process analysis, etc.
- Documents Process Maps, Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Reporting Requirements, Traceability Matrix.
- Provide input into UAT Cases/Scripts, End-User Training Materials, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Procedures, etc.
- Provides defect analysis expertise.
- Partners with PMs to drive operational readiness documentation and execution.
- Communicates/translates business requirements to the technical team and ensures that the solution fully satisfies business needs.
- Escalates risks and issues to the PMs.
- Participates in risk mitigation/issue resolution.
- Conducts effective requirements planning of activities and resources needed to ensure scope and requirements are defined, documented and approved.
- Skills & Qualifications:*
- 1 year experience in Operational Broker Dealer role, can also come from other departments (i.e. Compliance) but prefers operations.
- Mining Data, querying data and reporting, think and create reports.
- Mind data for business teams
- Working with 20 different departments, need data consolidated to 1 process/reporting structure.
- Systems – SQL, excel, built reporting for people to do a repeat process.
