Job Description
As a Data Scientist you will be an instrumental member of our Analytic Center of Excellence. You will apply strong expertise in artificial intelligence through use of machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype and build next generation advanced analytics engines and services. Furthermore, you will:
- Effectively communicate the analytics approach and how it will meet and address objectives to business partners
- Advocate and educate on the value of data driven decision making focusing on the how and why of solving problems
- Lead analytic approaches, integrating work into applications and tools with data engineers, business leads, analysts, and developers
- Create repeatable, interpretable, dynamic, and scalable models that are seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products
- Engineer features by using your business acumen that will improve analytical models that are easy to interpret
- Contribute to democratization of AI at the corporate scale
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in using the tools such as Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow.
- 5+ years' experience required OR Graduate degree in quantitative discipline and demonstrated Data Science skill sets, plus 2+ years' work exp.
- Deep expertise in writing Python code following PEP8 standards and possess solid programming background in general is a must.
- Ability to follow Gitflow processes such as branching, pull-requests, tagged version release etc.
- Ability to adapt new software architectures and implement state-of-the-art ideas seamlessly to the benefit of the team.
- Experience with Big Data technologies and machine learning platforms like PySpark is a must.
- ML engineer with experience in time series forecasting, Data Science is a must.
- Good understanding of traditional methods such as Linear regression, Monte Carlo Methods, Outlier filtering, and Data analysis is a must.
- Experience in using forecasting APIs such as PyTorch Forecasting is a plus.
- Experience in AI for vision is a plus.
- Experience in using AI based vision processing APIs such as Tensorflow object detection, Detectron, Mask RCNN benchmark is a plus.
- Development experience in Linux/Unix is a plus.
- Development experience in using bash scripting for automation is a plus.
- Ability to quickly read, summarize, and implement research papers/open-source AI tool kits is a plus.
- Ability to present self-authored/co-authored publicly available Github/Bitbucket/Gitlab source code repositories as a proof of previously done work is a plus.

The state of Colorado requires Lamb Weston to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to individuals applying to work remotely from Colorado and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the range for this role is $68,740 - $233,710. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to work location, experience and expertise.
