Senior Data Engineer

• Description:* This position is responsible for building Enterprise Data Warehouse, helps business for data analytics and to measure historical trends. He/she is responsible for managing the Enterprise data across the organization and to implement critical Projects/Project tasks, Enhancements and production issues to ensure the business stakeholders are satisfied. The job holder is responsible for: Accountable for creating and enabling data warehouse/lake system, analytic tools, and interfacing between data consumers and data providers. Responsible for technical cooperation between data subscribers and data creators. Lead efforts to extract together data such that it can be easily ingested by automated tools, process data into clean, accessible sets, transform raw and disparate data sets into inputs for computational analytics efforts. Implement appropriate governance structure to prescribe data handling, protection, and user provisioning controls Design, deploy, and move data between purpose-based lakes to include raw, harmonized, enriched, curated, analytic, and training lakes Perform operational activities related to data management such as metadata capture, data quality, data security, data lineage, data inventory. Architecture Roadmap - Data Warehouse/Lake & Commercial Analytics Ensure that data curation and commercial analytics application architecture decisions are consistent across the full commercial domain, aligned to enterprise architecture. Development, upgrade, and support of data assets and analytics systems. Accountable for overall quality and delivery of data services, including technical support services for Operational, Commercial, BI and Engineering services. Manage the work plan and provide the status updates to the business stakeholders Need to understand how these systems interface with other systems and look at holistic point of view, provide the best solutions Review with business and get the feedback about the quality and the accuracy of the deliverables
  
  

Enhance Reporting and Analytics platform Develop & align IT plan that meet the business objectives and challenges Need to understand how these systems interface with other systems and look at holistic point of view, provide the best solutions Review offshore team progress for Projects/Enhancement requests and come up with process/system improvement suggestions and implement them.

• Skills:* postgresql, unix, data analysis, oracle
• Additional Skills & Qualifications:* Desired Qualifications: Exposure to AWS framework is a plus. Domain knowledge - Working in Transportation/Shipping Industry (Chassis, Truck, Vessel & Rail Operations). People, result, and customer oriented with multi-tasking capabilities. Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
