CNO’s worksite division, Optavise, is seeking a Benefits Data Analyst to manage all incoming data that is sent or received form our customers or third-party vendors (TPA). This role cross trains with EDI analysts to share responsibilities and assist as needed.

As a Benefits Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the creation of inbound data feeds.
  • Consults with TPA’s and client technical admins regarding the required structures.
  • Manages the expectations of the overall process and timeline.
  • Manages the testing process of the inbound file to ensure it meets all data validation requirements.
  • Provides feedback (written and verbal) on test file loads to ensure data accuracy.
  • Work with the TPA’s and client technical admins to establish production readiness procedures and timelines.
  • Perform ongoing data file maintenance.
  • Absorb and load data files, reviewing file to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk to EDI files.
  • Communicates with the necessary stakeholders for any issues and offers solutions to ensure proper data loads.
  • Perform Initial Client Onboarding by providing the appropriate template per the onboarding requirements.
  • Manage data validation and consult stake holders on missing, incorrect data elements, and tier discrepancies.
  • Load and map all data elements to the system based on data conversion workflows.
  • Manage stakeholder expectation on data load and obtain appropriate sign off.
  • Manage data audits as necessary between data sources.
  • Creates and schedules monthly self-bills, standard reports as well as custom/ad-hoc reporting.

The Benefits Data Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Demonstrate understanding protocol for data file maintenance and set-up.
  • Accurately audit file feeds for data validation and conversion.
  • Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a data analyst.
  • Client management experienced preferred.

CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022, and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
