Marketing Data Analyst

We currently have a Marketing Data Analyst position available at our Columbia, MD office. Remote work is a possibility for those who do not live near our office.

The Marketing Data Analyst is directly responsible for the organization, coordination and reporting of all data. The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for supporting data driven marketing campaigns for the Strategy Director using statistical tools and data analysis. This position will use broad technical and data analysis to identify client needs for quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determines relevant quantitative methods for solving client marketing issues
  • Assists in presenting ideas and findings to future and existing clients
  • Shares knowledge with other members of strategy team and takes project lead on short-term basis
  • Addresses and analyzes direct marketing campaigns using the following tools & techniques:
  • Predictive Statistical models, Customer Profiling, Segmentation Analysis, Regression Analysis, Data
  • Analysis and Mining, External Data Enhancement and Break-even Analysis.
  • Executes data selects with CSO & Strategy Director
  • Manages the coordination and execution of merge purges and list/package splits
  • Maintains a continual focus on mining data in search of opportunities for the CSO to explore
  • Assists in presenting ideas and findings to existing clients
  • Works with CSO to formulate postmortem campaign analysis
  • Addresses and analyzes direct marketing campaigns using the following tools and techniques:
  • Customer profiling
  • Segmentation analysis
  • Regression analysis
  • Data Analysis and mining
  • External data enhancement
  • Break-even analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Required education and experience:

  • BS Degree – Major in statistics, marketing or business area. MBA or Graduate Degree - Desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, business analytics or sales / marketing administration

Required skills:

  • Excellent understanding of business analysis techniques and strong data management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
  • Intelligent, a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a passion for marketing analytics
  • Thorough understanding of online marketing and web metrics
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Windows products and experience with data visualization / dashboard tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with all levels of management
  • High aptitude for mobile & social media technology
  • Understanding and passion for the nonprofit market a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication, as well as project management skills
