Azure Data Engineer

On behalf of our client, Progression3 is in search of an Azure Data Engineer for a permanent role.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years data warehouse and T-SQL experience
• 5+ years SSIS experience
• 3-5 years Cloud experience including Data Lake Store, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL DB
• 2+ years DevOps experience
• 5+ years Visual Studio experience
• 2+ years Database Tuning experience
• Nice to have: PowerBI, Cognos, Grafana

Role Overview:

• Collect, aggregate, store, and reconcile data in support of business needs.
• Assist with design and building of data pipelines, data streams and data services.
• Part of the data supply chain to ensure that stakeholders can access and manipulate data for routine and ad hoc analysis.
• Translate business requirements into technical data related solutions.
• Support the planning and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance and performing needs assessments with focus on leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics Services.
• Delivery of architectures related to the transformation and modernization of enterprise data solutions using Azure cloud data technologies.
• Design and Build Modern Data Pipelines and Data Streams.
• Design and Build Data Service APIs.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures, and relational/non-relational databases for data access.
• Build and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
