Key job responsibilities
The team is seeking an experienced backend data engineer, who will own backend data pipelines, indexing systems and service & API layer application support. The aggregated data powers machine learning models and dashboards that help internal stakeholders and customers take appropriate actions. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a passion for data analytics, cloud technologies and have a track record of working with large scale structured and unstructured data sets.
About The Team
Ad Forecasting Insights and Optimization team builds end-to-end solutions including data pipelines, machine learning models, large scale data structures and indexes, advertiser recommendations (bids, products) and data visualizations. We match supply (ad opportunities) and demand (advertiser’s interests) in thousands audience segments, optimize advertiser spend and suggest prices.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
