Data Analyst

Location- Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX

Position Summary

As a Data/Business Analyst, candidate will be expected to help the team craft data solutions to meet business and enterprise requirements using SQL and ETL Tools to enhance and support a Data Warehouse in a Capital Markets Domain.

The candidate may help manage progress based on consistent Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes leveraging Agile and SAFE methodologies. They may also drive project risks and issues to resolution to minimize project impact while ensuring compliance to standards and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. This role will be required to work closely with the project developers and architects across multiple projects/work-streams at the same time.

• Understands databases; technical skills in querying and analyzing data (SQL or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse and data management principles.
• Data analysis including data mapping, data lineage, report analysis, interface definitions.
• Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SAFE. Comfortable leading Agile Sprint Ceremonies.
• Experience creating documents and diagrams that visually and clearly portrays technical implementations.
• Understands technical concepts and can clearly communicate with technical developers and translate concepts and data flows into clear documents.
• Experience gathering and facilitating status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.

Desired Skills

• Banking / Capital Markets / Accounting domain knowledge.
• Technically competent with various software programs including MS Office, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Solid foundation in documentation tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Confluence, SharePoint.
• Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
• Sound knowledge of program management and solution delivery.
• Knowledge and experience with BofA Change Management process.
