Today we’re looking for a Data Scientist, who will join the Pricing and Revenue Management Team at the Company’s Headquarters in Genoa – Italy.

The data science team is committed to designing and implementing an industry leading revenue management system to perform long term strategic demand forecasting and deliver dynamic pricing suggestions.

She/He will play a key role in the success of the project.

Key activities:

  • Coordinate the development process of a variety of mathematical models (including data collection, analysis, prototyping, testing, creation of production systems, and development of performance metrics) focused primarily in the area of Revenue Science but can expand into other areas of the business.
  • Champion science within our business furthering our understanding of the services we provide and the guests we serve.
  • Monitor model performance, re-calibrate, maintain, and recommend design enhancements.
  • Recommend the creation of tools/reports for analysts and management to show business trends, forecasts, and customer behavior.
  • Act as a focal point of competences, training junior scientists, business analysts and management on use of science models and tools.
  • Promote corporate culture and values among employees, leveraging positive relationships with the company’s leaders to obtain optimum results.
  • Support junior data scientists in roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Engineering with excellent grades;
  • 2+ years experience in developing, implementing and maintaining Machine Learning /AI models and Optimization Algorithms in complex environments / organizations;
  • Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making, combined with sense of business and commercial awareness;
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and of another statistical programming language (Python or R);
  • Fluency in English (at least B2 level is required), every other languages would be a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills focused on promoting openness and transparency.

About the Team

Revenue Management is the engine of our business. Here we accurately analyze the market, forecast the demand and execute our price positioning, But we also do our best to innovate models and tools to significantly reduce margin errors.

We’ll then be able to run our Ships full while delivering the profitability that will sustain a significant growth for our stockholders, thanks to a synergic relationship with all other business units.

At Revenue Management dept we also define the itineraries for our fleet and the shore excursions, both are key matters to make our product appealing and unique.
