At H.B. Fuller a key component of our HR strategy is to deliver people analytics and insights that enable business results. Our HR Data Analysts will operate and lead across the spectrum of analytics responsibilities to create and build H.B. Fuller’s people analytics function. The Senior HR Data Analyst will be the company expert on our people data. They will partner closely with our HRIS and Finance Systems teams to leverage broader technical expertise to provide required analytical systems and tools. With these systems and tools, the HR Data Analysts will deliver analytics insights and tell “stories” with data that ignite action and create business value. To extend the impact of people analytics they will also support the growth of analytical capabilities across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategically align data analytics support with the needs of the business. Deliver analytics that are meaningful to the business and can be leveraged to drive business decisions
- Be the expert on H.B. Fuller’s structured and unstructured people data.
- Leverage business acumen, intellectual curiosity, as well as expertise on data, systems, and reporting to understand the nuances and intricacies of our people data.
- Partner across the organization to set, maintain, and oversee the standard data definitions
- Set the foundation of H.B. Fuller’s people analytics
- Deliver and maintain key people metrics, dashboards, and diagnostics
- Provide data consultancy and support through a simple and agile intake process
- Partner closely with technical experts in HRIS and Finance Systems to establish and evolve analytical system infrastructure that enables people analytics. Articulate specifications and requirements that enable the technical teams to create our HR Data Mart/Warehouse, as well as dashboards, data visualization, and analytical outputs for the organization
- Synthesize and interpret data through the recognition of trends and casual patterns using statistical analysis, draw conclusions/ insights, and make recommendations.
- Assist HR leaders in the interpretation and management of HR data
- Present and tell the story with the data that drives action and business impact
- Support the building of the organization’s capability to leverage people analytics through training, coaching and influencing
Minimum Requirements
- Remote position
- 5+ years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a human resources, business, analytics or similar field of study
- Expertise with data, reporting, research and advanced analytics, preferably in a People Analytics or HR setting
- Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Technical capability to understand analytics systems, tools and data flow
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence software systems
- Ability to build relationships, influence and get work done through a network of peers, stakeholders, and partners
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to deliver results
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday or a cloud based HCM system
- SQL familiarity and work with various databases
- Experience in a Global organization
- Comfortable working through ambiguity in a highly matrixed corporate environment
