Citihub Consulting is seeking a Data Scientist to work on a project with one of our large international banking client. This will be on a contract basis in the New York metro area. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business and technical savvy, with a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. This role involves close collaboration with IT and Business professionals at all levels within the organization. This position requires a self-starter who is hard working and detail oriented with great analytical skills and can effectively identify opportunities. This would be on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish baseline forecasts for volumes and associated metrics
  • Determination of available headroom through analytic queueing models
  • Operationalize data by loading, validating, and reviewing on timely basis while normalizing data where and when needed
  • Linear and non-linear regression analysis
  • Conduct data quality reviews and work with source data owners and identify opportunities to clean data, improve data structures, or improve data management policies and procedures
  • Driving scale into Capacity Planning
  • Establish correlations between business operational metrics and IT metrics - be able to articulate how each component impacts other departments
  • Conduct historical analysis and communicate findings on shifting trends in volume, assumptions
  • Establish the metrics that should be collected for the technical components to determine utilization and trends, by working with technology teams
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the data while providing insights and identifying cost savings opportunities
  • Build & run “what-if” capacity usage scenarios to support predictive budget planning and capacity impact
  • Model IT Infrastructure capacity and utilization under different scenarios to help identify the optimal way of meeting future growth needs
Experience
  • R programming and / or Python for Data Analysis
  • Strong analytical candidates need to be able to understand in depth raw data and create reports from pulling raw data from databases/tools and manipulate it for understanding
  • Experience in managing data structures (using Excel, R, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, etc) to build reports and run analysis
  • Very strong communication, presentation, relationship building and planning skills
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure teams, ideally IT Asset Management
  • Knowledge of common information security & risk management frameworks such as ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST is preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
