In this role, you have the opportunity to
Use modern data science tools and methodologies to support development of clinical knowledge and insights from the very large sets of clinical and behavioral healthcare data for our Sleep and Respiratory Care organization. These insights will shape the creation of clinical proof points, marketing claims, whitepapers, peer reviewed journal papers, and support the development of clinical Machine Learning and AI algorithms to enhance the capabilities of Philips Sleep and Respiratory Care's patient management software suite.
You are responsible for
Data extraction from sizable relational and NoSQL databases
Data cleansing/transformation
Implementing a wide variety of analytics concepts and techniques such as experiment/study design, descriptive/inferential statistics, feature engineering, classification, regression, etc.
Designing advanced data visualizations
Collaborate with Philips clinical teams and external researchers co-authoring white papers, peer-reviewed journal articles and conference abstract submissions
Mentoring/leading junior team members

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience
7+ years of related industry experience in a data science, analytics, deep learning, artificial intelligence/machine learning capacity
Demonstrated experience working with a variety of databases such as SQL, MongoDB or Postgres
Strong scripting experience with R or Python
Ability to work with cross-functional teams expected
Proven ability to be an independent thinker who can manage complex projects
Strong communicator with influencing skills who is able to work with all levels of the organization
Experience developing predictive or statistical models such as regressions, decision trees, neural networks, simulations and/or optimizations
Experience with the following is not required, but strongly preferred
Experience working in the healthcare or health technology domain with knowledge of HIPAA and GDPR regulations
Knowledge of respiratory disease states
Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms
