Thales is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the team in Irvine, CA. This role will is can be fully virtual, but candidates that are local to Irvine, CA is preferred. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and integrity of data within SAP system. Part of the team supervising the data flow between TEAM CENTER and SAP system. Works cross functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, and Production Control to handle changes released from the TEAM CENTER Product Lifecycle Management system for both existing and new products. Reviews data in SAP on a continual basis to ensure accuracy and quality. Also assist in the training of Users on process changes relating to SAP data entry and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing SAP Master data - customer, vendor, and material master updates/additions/deletion with appropriate approvals
Understanding TEAM CENTER to SAP data transfer and Bills of Material’s (BOMs) within the SAP
Managing data attributes within SAP, including accuracy and integrity
Verifying TEAM CENTER to SAP data transfer including part numbers, revisions, and other Master Data.
Responsible for ensuring Item Master Data are available across various plants in SAP.
Develops and run health check inquiry and reports to reviews data in SAP on a continual basis to ensure accuracy and quality.
Involved in the process for setting / changing item attributes in SAP in response to requests from engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing users and with changing business needs.
Creates, maintains, and manages item attribute default values using item templates and other tools.
Uses Desktop Integration tools to mass load data from spreadsheets to SAP.
Develops best practices for SAP system and provides training and/or training logistics
Maintain and update data templates for data collection
Ability to liaise with IT to create SAP/BW queries for end users
Supports special projects whenever required
Support IT to resolve master data issues
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment, including ECO processing, Supply Chain, and other business processes
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Skilled with common workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, etc.) with the ability to create and maintain metrics.
Knowledge and skills working in enterprise software applications such as TEAM CENTER, Oracle EBS, SAP or comparable ERP environments
