Payroll Data Analyst

A Payroll Data Analyst is required for a 12 month fixed term contract paying £31,240.81 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP) based in Birmingham City Centre.

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As Payroll Data Analyst with BTP you will lead on key audit actions and reconciliations to ensure compliance in line with our regulatory, professional and service standards.

As Payroll Data Analyst you will be required:

• To lead on the internal audits of expenses and data between systems, identify issues and pro-actively plan how to resolve and escalate any issues where required.
• To support the Payroll Team and wider stakeholders with analysis and reconciliation of payroll data.
• Analyse a range of complex data sets to develop insights and recommendations.

The successful candidate will be required to evidence the following:

• Level 5 CIPP Payroll Qualification or equivalent experience.
• A successful track record in analysing, managing and reporting Payroll information.
• Experience of working with payroll complex data across multiple systems.
