The purpose of this role is to support the transition in the healthcare industry from traditional fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based care initiatives. This will require responsibility for modeling complex business problems, discovering business insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, data mining and visualization techniques. In addition to advanced analytics skills, this role must also be proficient at integrating and analyzing large, varied datasets from multiple sources including the Electronic Medical Record and claims data from payer sources, architecting specialized databases and computing environments, and communicating these results to clinical leadership.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a scientific field related to healthcare required.
Master's Degree is preferred.
Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements.
Experience
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in statistics and data science required.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare preferred, to include knowledge of healthcare analytics, healthcare mandatory reporting, financial analysis and managed care reimbursement methodology.

Knowledge in data analytics and software, to include SQL, 'R', or similar languages.

Quality and Financial Analytics/Reporting
Finance and quality metrics via scorecards and dashboards to monitor strategic initiatives based on government and commercial payment programs.
Utilize forecasting and predictive modeling for clinical and operational data to drive value and avoid penalties.
Analyzes data for anomalies, outliers, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Use statistical techniques to determine significance and relevance.
Ability to acquire, organize, and synthesize quantitative data to identify key findings for clinical and business audiences by evaluating market and business trends through the use of business intelligence
Present findings in clear, concise formats using graphics, tables, and high level summarization.
Collect and documents requirements from requestors to ensure appropriate creation of reports and analysis. Use peer review process and end-user consultation to reduce errors and rework.
