Are you interested in a demand planner role supporting the LEGO Group with its forecasting and analytics?

Your technical proficiency in demand planning makes you a trusted partner to the Operational and Commercial Teams. You provide valuable insight and analysis to support decision making process. The quality of your forecasts and analytical solutions has a direct impact on supply chain efficiency and product availability.

The role is a fixed term contract lasting 12 months.


Core Responsibilities


  • You will be responsible to support the short term forecast (0-4 months) creation and for providing the vital information to the teams managing longer horizon.
  • Building upon a statistical forecast output you will deliver an accurate demand plan for both Consumer Sales and Shipments to Customers.
  • Ensure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing, product launch timings and promotional activities both LEGO and customer funded.
  • Support sales and marketing to evaluate the likely impact of commercial investments.
  • Maintain the data bases required for the statistical engines to run.
  • Maintain, validate and consolidate multiple data sources to enable their analysis, and deliver accurate interpretation to support strategic conversations and decision making.
  • Build reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the Operational and Commercial Teams.
  • Define and uphold standards and processes for forecasting, analysis & reporting.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with the cross functional team members.

The role supports the business to evaluate the volume and value of the existing plans, enabling senior management to identify gaps to target and take corrective action.

The output of your work will also be used directly by supply chain to ensure the right products are manufactured at the time to maximize In Stock Availability whilst avoiding the generation of waste. The demand planning role is “multilingual” as it is used to inform supply chain (volume) and the commercial planning processes (value).

Do you have what it takes?


  • Expert in mathematics, economy or statistics based subject area or validated analytical skills developed through on the job experience.
  • A proven understanding of statistics and commercial competence, solid understanding of levers that impact consumers and customers behavior's.
  • Experience working with large amounts of data from diverse sources, ability to consolidate and visualize them using Power BI, Power Automate (Flow), Tableau, Microsoft Azure, SAP BW/HANA.
  • Experience working within a consumer goods environment ideally as demand or supply planner or analyst.
  • An ability to master complexity.
  • Be able to communicate in a way that makes the complex simple.
  • Be comfortable working with senior and junior colleagues.
  • An ability to assimilate multiple data inputs and determine a most likely outcome.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to balance local priorities and those set functionally.
  • Past experience of working within a supply chain environment and/or commercial environment is preferential.
  • Have experience of working with people across multiple functions
