Here at Bloom we’re ecstatic to be working with RSL Queensland to recruit a crucial role for their service delivery arm actively working on improving the lives of our Queensland Veteran community. The purpose of RSL is to support a bright future and an enduring legacy for all Veterans and their families. For more than one hundred years they have been working to protect the rights of those who have sacrificed so that we may live peacefully, and this continues to drive RSL Queensland to this day.

This role:
The Data Analyst working within this domain will be responsible for driving data-driven decision making and providing valuable insights to assist the business in delivering tangible and effective outcomes for their veterans. The role will also work to support and optimise the development and delivery of dashboard reporting across various initiatives against KPI’s, operational and performance reporting as well as social impact reporting.

Some of the duties to expect;

• Dashboard reporting (PowerBI/Tableau)
• Adhoc analysis on projects and initiatives
• Engagement with stakeholders and help where possible to drill down on their data
• Preparing reporting packs for executives and other key stakeholders
• Work on data best practice across this department and assist to modernise its approach to data

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced professional who has 4+ years under their belt working in an environment where they’ve been responsible for reporting, providing analytical support and advising their business/es on how to best approach certain problems and initiatives through available data. We’re after someone who is capable technically, but the soft skills are cruicial as this position is working with various managers and executives on initiatives that are close to the heart of RSL Queensland all of its supporters inside and out!

Some experience we’re targeting -

• 4+ years’ experience as a data analyst, BI/Reporting developer or Business intelligence professional
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau essential
• Experienced working with stakeholders and ideally you like helping get to the bottom of things with them
• Experienced working with various data sets and making sense of the bigger picture from various angles.
