As the Data Engineer II, you will be responsible for facilitating the capture, ingestion and transformation of data that provides data assets to drive business decisions.


What Will You Do?


In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Fivetran and dbt.
  • Implement and maintain Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Work closely with our data science and analytics teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and accessible while maintaining proper security protocols.
  • Create and maintain documentation of data pipeline processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data pipeline performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering, develop, and maintain data pipelines.


  


What Do You Need?


To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Strong experience with Fivetran, dbt and Snowflake
  • Experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience migrating from SQL Server to Snowflake a plus

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
