The newly created position of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Data Analyst will see you working at our Victora Park Head Office in Perth, WA. Supporting our Group Environmental Lead you will drive the delivery of our Net Zero Commitment and associated environmental strategies and roadmap targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the GHG data validation and assurance internal audit program including completing compliance checks against GHG Protocol and NGER legislation with future potential reporting against GRI and CDP
• Support the implementation of low or zero emission trials / pilots with relevant metrics and data analysis
• Delivering on requests from internal stakeholders and reporting to Customers with respect to scenario predictions and avoided emission calculations
• Assist with development of Scope 3 materiality assessments and commencement of data collection and interpretation
• Assist in the formulation of a Shadow Carbon price specific to the Monadelphous business for use in prioritising decarbonisation activity proposals
• Provide recommendations on current GHG data collection processes and improvements for internal operations (e.g. data collection automation, accuracy, process changes)
• Assist with development of a GHG data reporting platform business case, and provide support for the implementation of the agreed solution
• Maintain current short term GHG data reporting tool processes (via MS Excel) and undertake key role in introduction, implementation and oversight of future data reporting processes that will allow the business to identify trends and track performance
• Oversee and provide support to those completing GHG data entry tasks

What you will bring

• Tertiary Degree in any of the following: Sustainability, (Greenhouse Gas or Carbon) Accounting, Environmental Science, Business Analytics, Data Systems Management or equivalent
• Experience in a Data Analytics role, preferred within a similar environment / industry
• Strategic thinking, with a strong ability to undertake system analysis
• Understanding of Greenhouse Gas reporting platforms is preferred
• Advanced MS Excel and Moderate to Advanced Power BI skills
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to form strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Self starter with the ability to multi task and manage priorities to accommodate changing deadlines
• Demonstrated report writing skills with excellent attention to detail
