Wat ga je doen?

The Data scientist at T- Mobile develops and applies predictive models that have an impact on commercial performance and technical processes. You are a real specialist. Important here is your deep knowledge of both data science and telecom. Most of the time you will be working on building and deploying predictive models. No analysis will be simple.

Furthermore, you will be working with multi- departmental teams where you have to be fully competent in different areas. Also, for explaining complex information to others using acquired communication, tactic and diplomacy skills are needed. In this role you can help us to become a truly data driven organization. Working within an informal atmosphere where you have a lot of freedom to work as the data scientist you want to be. How good is that!

Waar kom je te werken?

The Data Scientist will be in the Data Science team, which is a part of the intelligence & Insights department (I&I). We have a diverse team with people from 3 continents! You will work with non-technical customers and technical colleagues. The departments where you will be working with are the end- users of the models (B2C, B2B, Finance or Technology). From the very beginning our models and processes are designed to go to production. You will see your models in action

Wat breng je mee?

The person we are looking for has:

  • Master (WO) degree Statistics, AI, Econometrics or Computer Science;
  • 2-3 years’ experience as Data Scientist;
  • Deep knowledge of both data science and telecom;
  • Knowledge of building and deploying predictive models (using R, Python, SQL, HIVE, Spark and Git is essential; Docker, Drone and Airflow are a nice to have);
  • Knowledge of diverse libraries (such as dplyr, h2o, xgboost, caret, scikit-learn, hyperopt);
  • Know how to work with different algorithms (from regression, decision trees, random forest, gradient boosting deep learning);
  • Knowledge of Hadoop is preferred.
