Data Analyst

FocusKPI, Inc. is looking for a Data Analyst/ Solutions Architect to work for our client.

Work Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months contract

Responsibilities:

• Shadow the Category Manager (Software) and collaborate with teams to understand the Category Management Objectives and Sourcing Footprint
• Engage with business process owners to identify, design and implement solutions/improvements that achieve efficiencies and automation across databases, tools and processes
• Participate and manage planning and execution of testing activities during implementation lifecycle of new or improved automation
• Create and maintain the contracts database and the terms of the engagement
• Create, maintain and enhance Software/SaaS spend tracking tools and manage Software/SaaS contract renewals
• Create, maintain and enhance Warranty & Services database
• Create, maintain and enhance the Datacenter Transfer database
• Consolidate tail end spend through VARs
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Supplier Account Rep to lead and maintain software asset database of usage across software and cloud purchases
• Collaborate with Category Manager to avoid overages and ensure optimal usage
• Conduct ad-hoc analytics including spend analytics, usage analytics
• Maintain database of market intel on suppliers, products, pricing model, key capabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field
• Attention to detail, both proactive and reactive
• 5+ years of Data Analyst/Sourcing Operations support organization experience in a fast paced organization
• Excellent communication skills, especially with technical stakeholders
• Proven database management skills
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple work streams
• Proficiency in Databases (SQL/NoSQL), Data Visualization (i.e.: Tableau, Superset), GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack and Zoom
• Comfort in a Virtual First/async situation

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with Legal terms within MSA/Order Forms/Amendment contracts
• Excellent negotiation skills and business analytics experience
• Experience in Tech or at least an understanding of the Tech Industry
• Located in the Pacific Time Zone (preferably the SF Bay Area)
