An opportunity for a Data Analyst - Health Management has arisen within Airnus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).


Provide technical and functional support in the Health Management analysis in the area of Operation and Maintenance Support Systems in Customer Services for the MRTT and other platforms.

The main aim of the position shall be performing the Health Management reports and operational recommendations by analyzing all In-Service Customer data. The use of Data Analytics capabilities and tools shall be the foundation of the tasks.

The position will require interface with both customers and internal areas (Engineering, Programs Office, Procurement, Services Engineering, Field Service Representatives…).

The technical and functional support requires aircraft specific knowledge as well as product life cycle understanding to be applicable in the definition and execution of the related projects.


The activities start with the Australian customer and later will be extended to other customer of the MRTT platform.

In addition, it shall establish liaison with the same activities performed for the A400M and the C-295 platform with special focus on the Canadian Customer.

In-Service Support by providing technical and functional performing project activities in the following aspects:

  • In-Service Aircraft Data Analisys
  • Preparation and controlling the documentation of delivery of information to Customers and Suppliers
  • Health Management Report

  • MRTT & A400M: Smart Predictive Maintenance
  • C-295: HUMS (Health & Usage Monitoring System

  • DDMS: Predictive Maintenance
  • DDMS: In-Service Data Feedback

Desired requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • General knowledge of MRTT Systems (configuration and design) is a must.
  • Educated in an IT, Mathematics, Aeronautical Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Air to Air Refueling systems is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of aircraft recording and maintenance systems is desired.
  • Programming basic skills (Matlab, Python, R, VBA, etc) are desired.
  • Data analytics basic skills (machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, etc) are desired.
  • Basic skills in NShow are highly desired.
  • Be willing to work with a multifunctional and transversal team.

Based on data modelling provided by IT, with a focus on business needs, extract and integrate both structured and unstructured data from various databases/data-stores ; Develop, test and implement the most suitable analytical models to identify meaningful patterns or trends from complex data sets and types; Implement the analytics pipeline against the business needs; Analyse and improve regularly the accuracy of models against business needs; Communicate findings through effective and easy-to-understand data visualisations adapted to the audience; Be the interface between their functions, the data ecosystem and the requested solution; Coach the function in the data-driven mind-set; Actively contribute and share best practices, findings, and techniques with the wider data community.
