CollabraLink is seeking a Data Engineer - Senior to join our Engineering team. This position is remote or onsite at our HQ in McLean, VA. Your project mission is to modernize a large-scale catalog system. As one team within a multi-vendor system redesign, you will revolutionize the user experience to streamline the entry and management of catalog data by vendors. The solution will integrate with other system components and leverage a series of business workflows to support data collection and automated validations. You will generate business insights through data visualization and AI/ML.

As a Data Engineer - Senior, you will:

• Design strategies for enterprise database systems and sets standards for operations, programming, and security
• Design and construct large relational databases
• Build, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical database models
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality
• Develop strategies for enterprise data management and data governance
• Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Consolidate well-groomed and malformed datasets into a single, scalable analytics platform
• Translate requirements from User Stories into valuable, working solutions
• Manage automated idempotent and ad hoc data deployments
• Generate clear and maintainable documentation
• Contribute to the culture and continuous improvement of an Agile team

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
• 7+ years’ experience
• In-depth knowledge in data modeling and database design and architecture
• Experience with AWS RDS
• Experience with multiple relational databases, such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
• Experience with the following: non-Relational data models, Git, AWS, Big Data, Data Science and Analytics preferred
