We are hiring for a SQL Data Engineer II to utilize their industry knowledge, technical skills, and passion for data to work closely with executive stakeholders and our data engineering team developing solutions that support and optimize business operations. We are migrating and maintaining an existing Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including ETL pipeline modifications, developing stored procedures, performance tuning, troubleshooting, working with our Data Analyst team, and working with our Big Data Engineering team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server data warehouse and developing SQL Stored Procedures

• Experience using SQL Structured Query Language

• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Strong understanding of performance tuning techniques, creating indexes, and optimizing table join.

• Strong understanding of data warehouse SCD Type I & II dimensions.

• Proactive, hardworking team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Passion for data organization, quality, and reliability. Other Skills:

• Knowledge of C#, Object-Oriented Programming, Rest API, and Python 3.

• Knowledge of Tableau / BI Reporting Tools.

• Experience working with large datasets (1B+ Records).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support the existing SQL Server ETL data warehouse infrastructure.

• Identify and develop performance improvements in existing ETL pipelines.

• Communicate with the Data Analyst team to implement new ETL pipelines and modify existing ones.

• Help set and maintain development standards for our ETL pipelines.

• Communicate with the Big Data Engineering team to facilitate datasets moving to or from SQL Server.

• Help mentor and train other SQL data engineers on the team
