Your purpose
The Functional data analyst role is a pivotal role within the Product Data team and has the primary responsibility of implementing, updating and continuously improving data management processes, being the primary contact in the product data team for emerging projects and the key interface between product data systems (primarily PDH), Supplier data systems and the IT departments.
Your role
- Identifying and documenting new business requirements for new or changes functionality
- Responsible for the documentation of data flows through our systems and identifying any impact and issue areas.
- Proactively engage in problem-solving processes for data issues that occur, to ensure prompt corrective action and prevention of future errors.
- Ensuring that due diligence and testing is undertaken on system changes that interface with PDH to ensure changes are seamless and identifying risks, testing these risks and delivering options to mitigate during testing and implementation phases.
- Liaison with all parts of the Specsavers business to understand any possible impacts of new product launches and innovations on our business data and document any potential issues.
