The data scientist will work closely with the Community, Communications and Marketing department and their business partners to conduct analyses and develop models to help drive business decisions. Utilizing their analytical, statistical and programming skills, they will collect, analyze and interpret large data sets in order to develop and recommend data-driven solutions to business challenges. A strong understanding of statistical modeling, data analysis and experimental design is required. Projects may include data mining, propensity modeling, survey analysis, custom segmentation development, market forecasting, market sizing for new products, product optimization, text analytics and digital analytics. The successful candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in diverse data sets and working with business partners to improve business outcomes.
Experience in marketing, economics, statistics, engineering, operations research or data analytics.
Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years' experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years' experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
