JPMorgan Chase is expanding consumer business beyond the U.S. borders for the first time, beginning with a digital-only retail bank in the U.K. We are looking for commercially minded, customer focused, hands on data analysts, who want to be a part of building digital-only retail bank.

The success of this business relies on the platform that will be built - we will be using a stack that is cloud native relying on cutting edge technology and seek full stack minded engineers.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for applying data analytics techniques from both traditional statistics and machine learning to a combination of third party, publically available and JPMC proprietary datasets, with the goal of answering business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders, business partners, and research teams to understand business problem
• Help the LOB stakeholders innovate through data-driven decisioning by querying data and merging information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making
• Research and analyze data sets using a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques
• Work on longer term projects, building tooling that can be used to scale certain types of analyses across multiple datasets and business use cases

Qualifications

• 4-10 years of relevant experience.
• MS or PhD in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, or similar BS with experience in a highly quantitative position.
• Coordinates with Data Engineers to build data environments
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Hands-on experience analyzing data
• Strong ability to develop and debug in Python or similar professional programming language
• Problem solving and collaboration skills
• Experience with machine learning APIs and probabilistic programming computational packages (examples: Scikit-Learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, statsmodels, pymc3, pystan, Edward, pyro).
• Experience with big-data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, SparkML, etc.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
• Self-starter who can provide insights and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment
• Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment
