Job description
Banca Generali (www.bancagenerali.com), a leading private bank in Italy in financial planning as well as client’s asset protection through a network of top-level professional private consultants, is looking for a Data Scientist based in its offices in Milan.
The team is responsible to provide Innovation processes throughout the bank. The figure will be able to analyze and implement mathematical models and ML into all the BU with particular attention into Big Data architecture.
- Acquire, analyse, clean and prepare data for model development and training
- Lead end to end development of machine learning models
- Partner with developers and product owner to integrate machine learning models into business processes
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand key business processes, requirements and underlying data for model development
- Develop best practice for data analytics
- Present and explain model results to senior management
Must Have:
- Degree in statistics, maths, business administration or computer science
- Deep understanding of data modelling (propensity, churn, clustering), data transformation, data ingestion
- Experience with programming language such as Python, Java, R
- Experience with data science tools such as Pandas, Numpy
- Solid fundamentals in the areas of AWS, Data Lake Architecture, Ms Azure
- Strong foundation in statistics
- Experience working with data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with SciKit Learn, TensorFLow, Keras, etc.
- Fluent written and spoken English

- Strong problem solving attitude
- Ability to communicate findings, and mine vast amounts of data for useful insights
- Self-driven with the ability to figure out solutions by him or herself
