talech, a U.S. Bank company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our data and digital strategy. This position will be responsible for the development of the data warehouse to serve organization-wide business analytics and data needs. This role will work on the design and development of analytics data warehouse, build data integrations to consolidate enterprise data from different data sources, and create reusable data services for internal and external data consumers. Ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining cloud data warehouse (Big Query) and data products, and make recommendations to optimize performance

- Design, develop, and support new and current ETL processes employing industry standards and best practices to enhance loading of data from and into different source/ target systems

- Provide and implement solutions to handle schema change, data security, data versioning, data retention and purging in cloud data warehouse

- Design framework for reusable data services to provide developers and data analysts with simple programmatic tools to find and extract the data they need with little effort

• Consistently writing production-ready code that is easily testable, easily understood by other developers, and account for edge cases and errors.
• Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.

- Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineer ing best practices and compliance with development procedures

- Serve as a mentor to coach and support junior engineer s to continue to raise the engineer ing bar across the organization

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices

• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and/or Java

• Experience with GCP and BigQuery data warehouse technologies

- Hands-on Experience with building relational and/or dimensional conceptual/logical data models, transforming conceptual/logical data models into physical models and data artifacts, and in the development of data architectures using application/tools

• Big data experience such as Spark and Hadoop

- Experience designing and developing data processing and ETL frameworks and tools, such as Kafka Streaming, Spark, MySQL, Postgres

• Experience with web services and API integration
• Familiarity with one of the core cloud provider services, preferably AWS and Google Cloud

- Familiarity with real-time analytics data base Druid

• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven collaboration and influencing skills

• Masters in Computer Science or similar engineering majors and m ore than 5 years of experience working as a data/software engineer

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $116,450.00 - $137,000.00 - $150,700.00
